Dj Nio just released a new beat tape of the “MammaLiTurki!” series. Imagine to be in a unique city on Earth on a “vapur”, a very unique ferry boat that goes between two different continents, Asia and Europe.
Imagine a place that’s been the capital of the longest and largest empire ever.
If you can imagine that, you’re in Istanbul. But if you can’t, no problem: this beat tape is bringing you there… To Istanbul, Turkey!
Dj Nio -Italian Hip Hop artist and Turkey’s adopted child- takes you to this incredible city through this new project, “Beats from the Bosphorus”, third effort of #MammaLiTurki series.
45 minutes of Beats going through all the shades of instrumental Hip Hop, from jazz to boom bap, from chill vibes to dark modern trap, ideally reflecting all the colors of the sea of the Bosphorus Straight that crosses Istanbul.
As usual, Dj Nio sampled some old dusty vinyls here and also had musicians to add their magical touch with local instruments to create a unique voyage through the different atmosphere of his beloved city: Istanbul.
